Bitter Spoon | Copper

The Bitter Spoon is a well-decorated perforated spoon used for the preparation of Absinthe.

Made of copper-plated stainless steel, it tends to be flat to remain balanced when resting on the rim of the glass with a sugar cube on the blade.

The perforations allow the water, which is poured over the lump, to seep through, dissolving it.

The absinthe underneath will thus acquire the characteristic milky opalescence known as louche.
